Look out, it’s the LCV! I wonder if buyers at Toy Fair asked–what the hell is this!? Proof that the GI Joe design team could do whatever they wanted after a few years of huge success. I also never was able to sit a figure on it motorcycle style, as Bazooka is in the inset photo. Need to check if that actually works.
It's Toy Fair time again, and no Joe news to report from Hasbro. That's why we're reaching into the catalog vault to dig up an advert of what was coming soon---in the past. My favorite of these 1993 offerings are the Steel Brigade branded vehicles. It wouldn't be Tonka without…
Our look back at 1993's Toy Fair catalog continues with one of the flagship offerings of the year. Hasbro even gave it an amazing two-page spread to showcase it. The Ghoststriker certainly deserved the attention, and was an impressive jet for a late line release. It's feature-laden yet maintains a…
Though I was disappointed about the Real American Hero line ending in 1994, I was excited by some of the vehicles coming in the new Sgt. Savage line. The P-40 Warhawk still impresses me, and this catalog page shows off the vehicles in nice detail. Gotta love that golden hour…
Granted this vehicle looks like it would be more trouble than its worth and aesthetically its just as bad. BUT on the plus side its a small and affordable vehicle.

The LCV was a real head scratcher for me as a kid. So was Bazooka, now that I think about it. Don’t hate me, ‘Zook fans!
Looks like an off-road version of the Light Cycles from ‘Tron’. Too bad we didn’t get the Recon Sleds seen in Season 2 of the Sunbow cartoon series.
The camera on top is frequently missing in loose samples…
HA! Leave it to Bazooka to drive the LCV with his feet
