Wow, now this is how you can sell a toy! From the pages of the Action Force comic comes this Super Trooper promo. The Action Force comics in general were quite big and bold in terms of their size as well as graphics. I’m really digging the art style here. It’s very different from what was the norm for the 80s GI Joe line. Even though I already have a Super Trooper, this thing makes me want to send away for one again. Now where did I leave all my old pound notes?
Super trooper also appeared in a live action TV commercial
I remember this. If he was in the series he might of been a cool character, but oh well. I think sgt. Slaughter was the only mail away put in the story. Maybe that’s for the best. Hard to see how refridgerater would fit in
Action force incorporated the vehicles alot more.
Nice art!
That a whole comic page? Certainly gets your attention. So he’s Captain America as a West Point officer with laser reflective armor. A little too much for me. I nerfed him to heavy weapons and added him to Slaughter’s Marauders as “Hard Corps” (one of his concept code names).
Its kinda hard to place him in your Joes. But not as hard as some.
He also had a great origin story in the Action Force comic.
