One of the more impressive of the late 1980s vehicles, the Rolling Thunder is a real beast. It’s too bad we didn’t see it in an animated series. It would have made a great focal point vehicle for the Joes. It’s certainly not as unwieldy as the General.
The Joe arrive in the Rolling Thunder to take out Cobra's base. Notice a similarity to other Cobra bases in other Joe media? I guess the smaller outposts just get painted sigils rather than fully sculpted cobra heraldry. These things cost money, you know.

With all the convoy attacks in the cartoons, they could’ve used a battle platform like the Rolling Thunder! For a coloring book, there’s some nice detail on the main turret.
Have you all seen/ played the Micro Machines race game/app? Its on my phone amd has several GI Joe vehicles including Rolling Thunder. (Also Hiss, Awe striker, killer whale and more)
