Admit it, folks–this is how you’ve always wanted to see Destro: standing in a huge pile of cash. The only thing missing here is the Pimp Daddy suit. What a joy.
This Scholastic storybook tells that tale of Destro’s theft of the US Government’s new $100 printing plate. What will happen now that Destro is rich enough to (as the cover says) buy the world? Wait, wouldn’t a sudden influx of currency somewhat devalue the dollar? And isn’t Destro already fairly wealthy due to his arms manufacturing business? And doesn’t he have his own personal army that could most likely forcibly get him most anything he would want?
Chill out. Suspend your disbelief. It’s only a kids’ book.
Destro and Dr. Mindbender abscond from a well lit tomb with a mummy who is...alive? Talk about sensationalistic. I guess you gotta do what you gotta do to sell comics. In all seriousness, I love one eye peeking out of the bandages. The audaciousness reminds me of American International horror/sci-fi…

I miss the old digest format. Before the days of trade paperback collections, and especially before I'd discovered a local comic shop, these bite-sized compendiums of back issues were the only way I could read adventures I had missed thanks to spotty distribution at 7-11 and QuikTrip newsstands. This cover…
Reminisent of the Sunbow episode; “Money to burn”
Know what’s missing? The exposed chest, the swinging gold medallion, and most of all, the Baroness hanging off him.
The bankers of the world enslave us with usury, creating debt with money that isn’t real in the first place.
Money Destro!
This image is AWESOME! I can’t figure out if it belongs on a kid’s book, tshirt, poster, or rap album cover, but we need to see more of this.
