Destro (2009)

Destro has always been a clothes horse and a man unafraid to outfit himself in outlandish outerwear. From his original 1980s look to the gold masked swashbuckler during his Iron Grenadier days to the infamous leopard print number, Destro stands out from the crowd. If I didn’t know better, I would think this figure started life in the Indiana Jones

Dhalsim (1993)

Yoga fire! Dhalsim is certainly unique among GI Joe figures, and yes this is a GI Joe figure, at least in terms of official branding. Just check out the smallish logo on the packaging. I was all-in for the StreetFighter figures, particularly the characters made up of entirely new parts. While others like Ryu and Ken were disappointing, others were

Hi-Tech (2006 Sigma 6)

Hi-Tech encapsulates most of what I enjoy about the eight inch Sigma 6 figures. Why did sailors at one time wear bell bottoms? I thought I knew the answer thanks to a relative who served, but after scouting online sources, it turns out

I can’t believe that I’ve neglected to focus on this most essential article of clothing for so long yet again, but here we are. This time, I’ve really tried to break the coverage open a bit more, and in

Stealth BAT

By KansasBrawler Growing up, I always loved the Cobra B.A.T. and though I missed out on the original version, the 1991 version quickly became one of my most used Cobra troopers. I’m sure part of that was the cartoon’s influence, but I just thought robots were cool and the interchangeable hand weapons really spoke to my kid brain. While I
