Klothespin Kommandos
Rob here first, with a quick intro. With all the excitement over Kickstarter projects of late, I thought I’d bring to light another cool fan project inspired by GI Joe. Flag Points’ Dave has put together what could very well be the next step in action figure evolution. Presenting the Klothespin Kommandos. These fearless fighters and their enigmatic enemies are up for any challenge. I could rattle off a laundry list of reasons to support this project, but I think I’ll just let a bit of the Kommandos’ media tie-in, courtesy of legendary wordsmith Andy Hampa, speak for itself…
Bleach Head’s team is in trouble: they’ve bitten off kenmore than they can chew and are safety pinned down on the front clothes line by Cold Bra Commander and Dreftstro, leader of the Ironing Grenadiers.
They’ll need to bring in their bold ranger Socker, who always works best alone, and they’d better hope their Top Starchent, Milduke, isn’t all wet.
Armed with their super fast Spin Cycle and the teachings of the wise but strict Fabric Soft Master, they’ll have to be able to bounce back if the evil saboteur Wirefly attempts to hang them out to dry and hamper their plans with dirty whirlpool tactics.
Meanwhile, the Adventure Team is in several loads of trouble as they try to capture fuzz intruders in their Lint Trapper.
It’s pure action, there’s everything to lose, not much to gain, and there’s no room on this battlefield for delicates, but if they can turn the tide, the Klothespin Kommandoes can all cheer “Yo Klothes!”
Wow, just…wow. I can’t wait to get my hands on these. For more information on this bold new direction for action figures, follow @FlagPoints on Twitter.
I’m sorry.
I can’t wait to see those in 3D!
that can be arranged.
So punny!!
When i was about 7 or 8, my Grandmother bought me a Cyclops Xman figure. I had no villains for hom to fight so i pretended her large bucket of clothes pegs were minature Sentinals.
WTF???
This is exactly the kind of “fun” project your mom (grandma?) would bring you in the ’70s/’80s. And you’d look incredulously at the magazine and find the nicest way to say “but where are the guns?” And what’s up with Stalker not wearing any pants?!
Your comment brought to mind this: http://theswca.com/images-speci/womansday/ and http://theswca.com/images-speci/womansday2/
No weapons!?
😉
I need to break out the high-powered, semi-auto toothpicks. Those were supposed to be brown pants. Early “creative” process was not as focused on fig accuracy. 🙂
and all of them have spring loaded action features!
