Backyard Battles: Ninja Takeover!
By Jason Royalty
Here at JAD, we love ninjas. We also love photos of Joes in the wild. It brings back memories of when we played with ours as kids. I may have been too old to play with the Ninja Force figures in the yard, but I still love ’em. Jason’s latest photo shoot is chock full o’ sword-wielding, pajama-clad purveyors of pain. Check it out!
My backyard loo0ked like that 20 years ago 🙂
Arashikage Rhapsody!
That Jinx crouching pose!
If these figures had standard O Rings, I think they would be better appreciated. The Stormshadows that fixed it weren’t terrible, once you clipped off the pegs on the bottom of the torso.
As a teenager reading the comic, I thought Slice and Dice would be cool figures. But, when I saw them, there were so many other, better figures that I never got around to them until years later as a adult collector.
Keep these themes coming?
I had never considered clipping those pegs off the Storm Shadow torsos, that is a good idea I wish I had read when I had some of those.
That is a sharp looking ’88 Storm Shadow!
My outdoor adventures were limited with my figures, but just seeing that Storm Shadow along with Jinx, Snake Eyes, and Slice and Dice, bring me back to some fairly fun days!
These are some excellent photos of some great-to-marginal-figures!
